5 Ways To Monetize Pinterest!

There are so many ways that we can monetize our talents online.  As creatives we often feel deflated with the lack of reach and conversion on traditional social media platforms.  Pinterest has been a driver in my business since 2013 and without it, growing a 100% online product based business would have been mission impossible.  Pinterest is a visual search engine, a place to search, learn, create, and inspire!  I'd love to see more creatives tap into this amazing platform!  Pinterest is NOT a fast track to a 7 figure creative empire, but it can be as lucrative as the time you put into it!  So let't talk about 5 ways we can send your business to the moon!

If you want to be a business you must have a business account!!! Here is how you do that!!!

#1:  You need to claim your website, etsy, Youtube, IG, etc.  If you have an e-commerce platform like Shopify, claim that as your website so you can get your catalog downloaded! At the time of this post you can't download your Etsy catalog!  #sadtown

#2 Create content worthy of repinning! The magic in Pinterest is in the pins!  Your pins speak to an audience, and if your photos are bright, vibrate and swoon worthy they WILL get pinned!  Think about it like this....you have 200 followers on Pinterest, someone repins your pin who has 200 more followers and then 2-3 of their followers repin your rin and now suddenly you have 1000's who have seen your pins, possibly repinned and the circle of building an audience has begun!

 #3 Make your pins searchable!  If you are just posting up pics or videos with no description, how are people going to find you.  You need to have keywords on your boards and photos.  How do you search Pinterest?  Do you use words like "boho style", "cottagecore ideas", "closet makeovers", etc. (Tip: Leave the # at the door, this isn't Instagram!  Use real keywords, like google wants). 

#4 This post is about monetizing!  Find affiliates that fit your business, make a list of all the products that you use to make your business or product come to life and reach out to them!!!  Here are some places to start when establishing your affiliate relationships:  Amazon Associates, PartnerStack, Share-A-Sale, & CJ affiliates!

#5 Pinterest Ads!!!!  OMG YES!!!!  Pinterest ads are super easy and once you know who your audience is they can be very profitable.  Pinterest ads are also 2.3x cheaper than Facebook or IG (source: https://sproutsocial.com/insights/pinterest-statistics/).
